Erica de Freitas is a producer, screenwriter and director. Graduated in Cinema and Audiovisual from Universidade Gama Filho (2007) and is currently studying Journalism. Worked as Project Coordinator at Bananeira Filmes between 2011 and 2013 participating in the executive team of the films Billi Pig (José Eduardo Belmonte, 2011); A Man Who Flies: Nelson Prudencio (Adirley Queirós and Maurílio Martins, 2013); Almost Samba (Ricardo Targino, 2013); El Ardor (Pablo Fendrik, 2014) and Mate-me Por Favor (Anita Rocha da Silveira, 2015), two co-productions Brazil and Argentina. Since 2014, he has provided consulting services for various cultural production companies and institutions. She is executive producer of the 10-episode series A Linguagem do Cinema – II (Geraldo Sarno, 2017), conducted by Saruê Filmes and licensed by Canal Curta, and the feature-length film Vidas Partidas (Marcos Schechtman, 2016), produced by Voglia Produções in partnership with Globo Filmes and distributed by Europa Filmes. In 2007, he founded Encantamento Filmes, a company that seeks audiovisual content for filmmaking, script and/or female protagonism. In recent years, he has produced the shorts Yomared (Lufe Bollini, 2018) and Neguinho (Marçal Vianna, 2020) and the feature films Entre Nós, Um Secret (Beatriz Seigner and Toumani Kouyaté, 2020), a co-production of Brazil, Burkina Faso and Mexico and distribution of Vitrine Filmes e Ioiô de Iaiá (Paula Braun, 2021), Elo’s distribution company. She is the creator of the Visionárias project, an initiative committed to anti-racist debate and training in the field of audiovisual businesses, from the point of view of women.
